Te Mana Tangata Whakawhanake — MacDiarmid Institute
The MacDiarmid Institute is a Centre of Research Excellence, established in 2002 by Sir Paul Callaghan who set out to change the face of the economy through high-value science. The Institute pulls together passionate investigators from seven research institutions across Aotearoa to create a network of leading materials scientists united in a common goal: to create and explore innovative, sustainable materials that will improve the lives of people in Aotearoa and around the world. We work together and partner with industry and government to address global challenges such as clean water, renewable energy and climate change.
